When Manner first began making wire & cable compounds twenty years ago, telecom products were simple jacket and insulation compounds protecting telephone wires. Today, telecom encompasses everything from data cables with twisted pairs of copper in CAT 6e cables to coaxial cables to fiber optics. Manufacturers need PVC jacket compounds for twisted pairs and polyolefin separators, durable jackets over foamed PE COAX cores or ultra thin wall buffer compounds for multi mode fiber.
